The view from the upper rooms of the Cottage and Coach House

BROOKLETS COTTAGE.

Though no accurate date is available it is believed Brooklets Cottage was built,
in two sections, between the end of the 18th / start of the 19th century,
this makes Brooklets Cottage one of the oldest buildings in Tintagel.
Brooklets Cottage can be seen marked on Ordinance Survey maps of Tintagel
from the 19th century.

The front section of Brooklets Cottage was built first
with the rear section added later and was occupied previously
by a family as two houses with adjoining doors,
the join can be seen most clearly at the foot of the rear stairs.

As well as a house, certain sections of Brooklets Cottage have been used
as a Outfitters, Butchers, Pottery, Plumbers shop and Pancake & Waffle
shop before renovation and conversion to a bed & breakfast in the 1990’s.
